St. Patty's Day Adventure
Once upon a time, in a land not that far away, there lived three little sisters, Mandie, Emmie, and Evie, and their
best friend, Jacquie.
and London Bridge Is Falling Down.
... when all of a sudden, they smelled something awful!
What, oh, WHAT could it be??
"I know what it is!" cried Evie, "Maman is making corned
beef and cabbage for dinner. I think we had better run
away and hide so we do not have to eat it."
They played and they played, and they were having a
wonderful time ...
And that is just what they did.
"Maman will never find us here," Emmie said.
One fine St. Patrick's Day, Jacquie came over to play.
The girls admired each others' brand new dresses.
"We will not come out until it is time for dessert!"
said Mandie.
But by and by, they began to get wiggly and bored.
And the girls resumed their play.
Emmie caught a pretty butterfly.
Just then, Jacquie caught sight of a great big
butterfly in the bushes.
"I will use my net to catch it," Emmie said.
The girls gathered round to see what Emmie had caught.
"If you let me go, I will tell you where to find the
leprechaun, and he has a pot of gold!" the fairy told them.
"He is down the well. Quick! Pull up the bucket before he gets away!"
And before their startled eyes appeared the leprechaun!
"If you want us to let you go, first you must tell us where to find your treasure," Evie told him.
"Very well," said he, "It is here at the end of the rainbow."
So they all lived happily ever after.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!
"This is not a butterfly," said Mandie,
"It is a beautiful fairy!"
Finally, Evie peeked out of the bushes and gave
the all clear.
